As part of this momentous occasion, Brooklyn United Alumni are assembling a program to help commemorate the return of Drum Corps to Brooklyn.

"As you can see The Brooklyn United project is rolling right along. We are tapped into the history of the past great Brooklyn Corps and will honor and recognize all of them in our ranks. Someone once asked me, "What do you think is the future of Drum Corp"? Without skipping a beat i answered, "The future is the past". With the rise of so many Alumni Corps these recent years i see the truth in that simple answer. Yes, we are tapping from a limited pool as all the nay Sayers will say. I can think of many reasons to be negative about this project. I'm usually the first person to tell you why something won't work! That's why i'm baffled that i know this will work! We can get this started and relive some of those glory days and eventually reach out to the youth in the Brooklyn neighborhoods so they can keep the tradition going. We have community and political backing. We can tap into the schools and the community groups. But let's do it right here, right now."
